Video Consultation Terms of Business

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms apply to video and telephone consultations with Professor Swati Jha, provided through Fulwood Healthcare Limited. By booking a virtual consultation you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Virtual consultations are provided by Professor Swati Jha, Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Urogynaecology, through Fulwood Healthcare Limited (“we”, “us”). Your contract is with Fulwood Healthcare Limited.

  • Registered in England and Wales, company number 08463148
  • Registered office: 6 Stumperlowe Hall Road, Sheffield S10 3QR
  • Correspondence: Thornbury Hospital, 312 Fulwood Road, Sheffield S10 3BR
  • Secretary: Lauren Hudson, 07990 251036, admin@swatijha.com

A virtual consultation is a video or telephone consultation. It is for self-funding patients only; we do not bill insurers for virtual consultations. It is not an emergency service. If you need urgent care, contact your GP, NHS 111 or, in an emergency, 999.

2. Booking and fees

Book through Professor Jha’s secretary by email or telephone. Your appointment is confirmed when we send your invoice.

ConsultationLengthFee
New patient40 minutes£350
Follow-up20 minutes£200

The fee covers the consultation and a clinic letter to your GP, with a copy to you. Tests, treatment and any face-to-face appointment are charged separately.

3. Payment

Payment is taken in advance and is due 48 hours before your appointment.

  • Bank transfer is our standard method. Your invoice gives our bank details; please use the invoice number as the reference.
  • Debit or credit card is available on request. We will send you a secure Stripe payment link for the same invoice.
  • If payment has not reached us by the due time, we will remind you once and may offer the appointment to someone else.
  • Payment after the consultation is possible only if agreed with us in advance.

Your video link is sent with your invoice. A receipt is sent with your clinic letter after the consultation.

4. Cancellation and refunds

To cancel or change your appointment, email or telephone the secretary. The time we receive your message is the time of cancellation.

When you cancelRefund
More than 24 hours before the appointmentFull refund
Within 24 hours of the appointmentFee less a £50 charge (New £350, Follow-up £200)
You do not attendFee less a £50 charge (New £350, Follow-up £200)
  • The 24 hours are counted back from the booked start time of your appointment.
  • Moving your appointment more than 24 hours ahead is free; your payment carries over to the new time.
  • If payment has not yet been made, nothing is refunded and we may invoice the £50 charge for a late cancellation or non-attendance.
  • Refunds go back by the method you paid: to your card for a card payment, or by bank transfer.
  • If we cancel, or a fault on our side stops the consultation going ahead, you receive a full refund or a new appointment at no extra cost, as you prefer.

5. Your consultation

  • Video: use a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone. The link is personal to your appointment and opens 15 minutes before the start. Join from a quiet, private place; you may have someone with you.
  • If the video fails, Professor Jha will telephone you on the number we hold. This counts as the consultation going ahead.
  • Telephone consultations: Professor Jha calls you at the appointment time.
  • Recording: with your agreement, the sound of the consultation may be recorded to help write your clinical notes. You will be asked at the start and may say no.
  • Examination: some problems cannot be assessed without an examination. If you need one, we will arrange a face-to-face appointment at Thornbury or Claremont, charged separately.
  • Letters: a clinic letter goes to your GP, with a copy to you, as after a hospital clinic appointment.

6. Your information, complaints and general terms

  • Your information: Fulwood Healthcare Limited is the data controller for your records. Our privacy notice explains how we use and protect them.
  • Complaints: raise any concern with the secretary first. If it is not resolved, write to Professor Jha at the correspondence address above and we will reply within 20 working days.
  • Changes: we may update these terms. The version in force when you book applies to that appointment.
  • Law: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
